Supervision

Supervision for counsellors and coaches

I offer a very warm and supportive supervision style

Supervision for qualified therapists and trainees

My focus is to help supervisees develop a safe, ethical and professional practice, with both therapist and client well-being in mind.

Accredited with the BACP to provide supervision. I work with an open integrative model, in a collaborative way - exploring the client content along with experiences, feelings and thoughts that arise for the supervisee, with regard to the relationship with the client and how they are working.

Transformative supervision requires some key elements to be successful. I provide a space where the supervisees can feel safe, understood, supported and have the courage to be open without fear of judgement - although I am also comfortable, to when required - to provide challenge.

When training or newly qualified, holding boundaries with clients can feel difficult. I will support, guide and mentor you when required, through a process of exploration, reflection and education (most valuable when supervisees might feel stuck or uncomfortable)

I feel passionate about the possibilities that good supervision can offer, which benefit both supervissee and client. I am always available to my supervisees outside of the contracted sessions. Supervision will include attention to best practice, ethics, standards and professional issues, theoretical frameworks, transference etc.

Areas of support can be: developmental, mentoring, educational, reflective practice and transformative to include -self-care, ethics and professional standards.

I completed my training with CSTD over ten years ago and you will find me on their supervisor directory along with CSTD tutor Robin Shohet and David Owen, also the authors of the well known supervision bible, 'Supervision in the Helping Professions',

I supervise private practitioners, healthcare professional, organisations.

As It can be difficult to find a counselling supervisor that you feel confident and safe with. You are welcome to contact my current supervisees for a reference (details can be supplied). Currently the BACP recommend one and a half hours supervision per month.

I offer professional supervision for counsellors, trainee therapists and other professionals 60 and 90 minute sessions available. From £75 per hour via telephone or webcam.

Coaching supervision

My many years experience as a coach and my in depth knowledge of the complexities of interpersonal relationships, allow me to offer you excellent support in your coaching practice.

As a coach, you will be challenged by all manner of your clients uniqueness and circumstances. I offer a chance to explore without judgment the bumps in the road or barriers you may come up agains - your successes and faluires. Focusing along the way, to develop your competencies and strengths whilst reflecting and exploring - perspectives, boundaries, differences, assumptions/intuition and much more.

I qualified as a personal development coach sixteen years ago, studying over two years with Newcastle College. My former clients included business leaders, professional sportsmen, radio presenters and clients just wanting to change their life for the better.
